The IBAMA/CNPT, Brazilian Institute of Environment and Renewable Natural Resources / National Center of Traditional Peoples and Sustainable Development declares that the



Amazonia Association

is collaborating in the preservation of Natural Resources in the region of the Rion Jauaperì since 1992 and that is currently collaborating in the planning to set-up an Extractive Reserve named Xixuaù.

This is a Conservation Unit which guarantees to the traditional peoples the management of environmental resources on sustainable bases, improving the quality of life, generating income, and fixing people in their own community.

Therefore we have the intention to create a partnership in the management plan of this Reserve
